Province 2 Like many other countries, Nepal is also a federal country. So,   it’s official name is Federal Democratic Republic of     Nepal. Nepal has become the federal democratic republic country in 15 th jestha ,2065 but, because of various issues regarding the determination of federal units in Nepal, the federal system was not yet implemented in Nepal. But after the promulgation of constitution of Nepal 2015,federation system got implemented in Nepal. According to the constitution of Nepal,it divided into 7 states or province.     Province 2 is named as mahdesh pardesh or Maithili pardesh. It has 9661 square kilometer which means it only occupies 6.56% of total area of Nepal.
